Pros and Cons for investing in a used Toyota Rav-4

It’s close to the first anniversary of the disaster that struck Japan early in March 2011. The country and the rest of the world have yet to fully recover, and one of the signs is the lack of cars in the market – new and used. The used Toyota RAV4 for sale for example gets snapped up almost immediately after being offered. Online sites are scrambling to get as much inventory as they can so that they have a wide range of cars to offer. Of course, most of them say that popular models like the used Toyota RAV4 for sale is always a safe choice for both buyer and seller.

However, the possible consequences about buying a used car still prevail. The car has to be road worthy and best value. If not, then there’s no sense in throwing your money away – which is essentially what you would be doing. In Japan, the used car industry is thriving. It isn’t just because Japanese tend to buy new cars every 2 to 4 years, but because they know how to take care and maintain their cars. Their laws are very strict about being road worthy.
Thus, if you want a used RAV4, get one from Japan. You have a higher percentage of getting a great deal.  If the car comes from any other place, there is a higher risk that it has been tampered with fake parts instead of original parts. You may wonder why but it’s really very simple. Resellers can make a lot of money by butchering a car to sell it for parts and put replacement or compatible parts to keep the car in acceptable running condition.
If you are buying from a local seller, you will need to make sure the papers are in order. There are many cases of fake papers to mask unpaid tickets or bills. It pays to be a little suspicious if you don’t know the seller and you can’t verify his operations.
Back to the plus side, a RAV4 is easy to resell in case you have to unload assets. As long as it is kept in good condition, you will be able to get a fairly decent return on your investment.
